Doily Love

I have a major thing for doilies. In fact, I have more doilies than I have surface spaces on which to put them.
They are the perfect furniture accessory: they fill in blank spaces, they soften hard edges, they make otherwise boring things look pretty.
I have a particular fondness for the unexpected doily. The doily made from non-traditional materials. The oversized doily. The wearable doily. So join me today, Dear Readers, in celebrating this thing of beauty, The Unexpected Doily:

Viva la doily!

Yay for doily love! I have quite the obsession with doilies as well. You have picked some lovely doily items to showcase. I am especially fond of those coasters. I use small doilies as coasters, but I like the combo of the doily lace work with the wood. Beautiful!

I adore that doily rug! It's such a clever idea. I definitely need to find more uses for the doilies that I have kicking around.

For some reason I've got similar kind of affection towards doilies ;) I purchased a hand knitted doily rug for our bathroom and it's a lovely one.

Happy weekend!
